This project is a collection of documents in video, photography and sculpture, subjectively depicting the transformation that the region known as ‘Silicon Valley’ in the San Francisco Bay area was undergoing between the years 2013-2015.

The Bay area was one of the first major regions in the US to experience the problems of gentrification, displacement1 and a decreased standard of living2as a consequence of migration fueled by the present economic climate and the current “tech boom”.

Echoing the mid 19th century "California Gold Rush"3 and the Dust Bowl Migration, a chain of events that seem to be part of a never ending cycle in the writing of history of the region4.
